Haiku of Frustration

Swine flu pandemic
symptoms mimic normal flu
I work with children

CIT Training
Set off my PTSD
One more day to go

Hear that sucking sound?
That is just my Saturday
Drained away by work

I moved here because
the weather is very nice
Stuck at computer

All of the rain that fell
Is good for the earth and plants
Also makes weeds grow

Fridays start early
Thursday nights are short and bleh
Worried about sleep

Too many hours
In front of computer screen
Eyeballs start to bleed

Each one of my kids
Brought cupcakes for the WHOLE class
For Valentine’s Day

My kids at school put
Ranch Dressing on their pizza
As a topping! Eww!

Paperwork Snafu
Start date for new job pushed back
